Culturally Competent and Diverse Staff
Focus Area 3
Description:
Culturally competent staff and diverse TSD employees are recruited, supported, and retained.
Theory of Action
If we engage in active recruitment, employment, support, and retention of culturally competent and diverse staff we will model a respect for diversity and increase positive intercultural communication and heighten access to learning.
I think we need teachers from different countries so we can learn about different cultures.
I think connecting with colleges nearby and asking if they have people graduating with a different skin color, religion, or maybe have a disability they have overcome would be helpful.
