Career and Technical Education (CTE) focuses on equipping students with both technical and essential skills to ensure postsecondary and workforce readiness.
Our programs offer hands-on learning experiences, opportunities for career exploration, and pathways to seamlessly transition into further education or the workforce. Career and Technical Education is designed for everyone, preparing students to meet the challenges of today's dynamic job market.
CTE Pathways
Our Career and Technical Education pathways — aligned with the Colorado Career Cluster Model — connect your career interests from school to college and/or career. A pathway is an educational roadmap guiding you to the courses and post-secondary options most relevant to your chosen career destination.
The following pathways are offered at one or more of the following campuses: Berthoud High School (BHS), Harold Ferguson High School (FHS), Loveland High School (LHS), Mountain View High School (MVHS), Thompson Valley High School (TVHS), and Thompson Career Campus (TCC).

Districtwide CTE Pathway Programs
Thompson School District offers district-wide Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway programs open to all students. These programs provide opportunities to earn college credit through partnerships with Front Range Community College (FRCC), Aims Community College, or other educational institutions. Students can also obtain industry-recognized certifications to support their career readiness. While bussing may be available to the Thompson Career Campus (TCC), students are responsible for their own transportation to other program locations.

Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs)
Students enrolled in Career and Technical Education courses are encouraged to join Career and Technical Student Organizations, which provide opportunities for leadership, competition, network building, community service, and real-world application of knowledge and skills. Our CTSOs include:

Thompson Career Campus
The Thompson Career Campus provides quality career and technical education programs emphasizing core academic content, postsecondary and workforce readiness competencies, technical skills, and seamless transition to further education or employment. Students enrolled in any of the five Thompson School District high schools can apply for admission into one of the two-year pathways offered.
How to Get Started
- Explore Pathways: Review the various CTE pathways to identify your areas of interest.
- Consult Your Counselor: Discuss your interests with your school counselor to align your Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP) with CTE opportunities.
- Apply: Follow the application process for your chosen pathway, which may include prerequisites or specific requirements.
- Get Involved: Join relevant CTSOs to enhance your learning experience and build valuable skills.
