Agricultural Science Pathway

Colorado Career Cluster: Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Energy

The Agricultural Science program is offered at Berthoud and Thompson Valley High Schools.
Transportation may be arranged for students at other high schools who wish to participate in this program.

Students who take Agricultural courses may join Future Farmer of America (FFA) - All grades

  • Principles of Animal and Vet Science A/B (5910, 5911)
  • Principles of Plant Science A/B (5912, 5913)
  • Principles of Horticulture Science (5914, 5915)
  • Principles of Natural Resource Management A/B (5916, 5917)

Year 3

  • Animal Production A/B (5920, 5921)
  • Crop Production and Management/Greenhouse Production (5930, 5931)
  • Principles of Animal and Vet Science A/B (5910, 5911)
  • Principles of Horticulture Science (5914, 5915)
  • Principles of Natural Resource Management A/B (5916, 5917)
  • AP Biology (3026, 3027) (BHS Only)
    • High School Select: Postsecondary Credit Options Available through Front Range Community College. Eligible for General College Biology BIO 111 – 5 college credits.
    • Students who enroll in and successfully complete the above college coursework, and successfully complete BIO 105 or BIO 111 (see above) through High School Select or Campus Select, can complete the FRCC Veterinary Technician Assistant Certificate.
