Thompson Tomorrows Today
In the fall of 2021, a group of TSD educators were invited to participate in an event hosted by the OtterCares Foundation in conjunction with MindSpark and Colorado Succeeds. This event was designed to bring educators and businesses together across Larimer County.
At the end of two days of reimagining education through a lens of entrepreneurial thinking, the OtterCares Foundation announced a grant opportunity.
A team of TSD staff along with Thompson Education Foundation and business partners worked on the grant application, focusing on building an entrepreneurial mindset in elementary and middle school.
After a ton of hard work, TSD received the grant and T3 came to be!
On April 6th, a group of TSD educators and business partners came together to begin the hard work of ensuring Thompson School District is known for innovation, entrepreneurialism and work-based learning. T3's focus is bringing together education and industry that is mutually beneficial to businesses, students and families.
On August 4th, TSD school teams embarked on a day of exploration! These K-8 teams spent the day visiting industry sites, learning about employability skills, and collaborating to create dynamic "pitches" to be shared on behalf of their schools.
