Parent Digital Citizenship Resources

The resources we recommend have been designed, researched and vetted by the top universities in our country. Our goal is to support and educate our students, staff, and parents on our ever-changing digital world. The content of this page will change, so please keep checking back.

We recommend Common Sense Media For Parents website.  At the top of the page, click For Parents.  Common Sense is the nation's leading nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of kids and families by providing trustworthy information, education, and independent voice they need to thrive and be future ready. The green bar gives you specific information on Movies & TV Shows, Books, Apps, Games & Websites, Advice for Parents, Latino, Research and About Us.

Connecting to and using the Internet at home is very different from using it within the school district.  Thompson offers a filtered Internet experience.  Thus we recommend The Smart Talk for parents. Smart Talk offers parents and students a forum for discussions. They also offer Family Agreement documents, which can be signed by parent and children.
