Camp X-STREAM

For Grades K-8

Camp X-STREAM registration and waitlists for students currently enrolled in grade K-8 for the 22/23 school year has ended. If you were unable to get in this year, please look for information next spring. Thank you!!

Dates: June 12-29 (elementary camps span all three weeks, middle school can select courses for one, two, or all three weeks.)

Days: Monday-Thursday from 8:00 am-12:00 pm

Breakfast and lunch will be served daily to students at no cost.

Locations: Our K-5 only sites are BF Kitchen, Winona, and Laurene Edmondson. Our K-8 site is Walt Clark Middle School (preference given to K-5 students with a middle school sibling).

Transportation: If you are interested in bus services, please indicate this during the registration process when prompted. You will then be sent information on the application process.

K-5 weekly themes:

Kindergarten/First Grades

       6-8 Courses:  

  • Camp FIT- At camp fit you will increase your fitness, knowledge, and skills that support a health-enhancing lifestyle, while actively engaging in the participation \in physical activities. You will also design your own game. Come join Team Camp Fit!
  • Engineering - During camp, students will explore multiple ways to solve a problem. There will be opportunities to follow the Engineering Design Process and use scientific inquiry and collaboration to build and design.
  • Happy Mediums (Art) - Artists will engage in learning about various mediums in art and have many opportunities to create masterpieces using materials such as chalk, paint, and multi-mediums. Let your creative juices flow at Happy Mediums Camp!
  • Science of Cooking  - Safety first in the kitchen! After that you will spend time learning about how ingredients function together, including leavening agents. You will make and taste your creations. Yum!
  • Stop Motion Animation -Designers will spend time discovering materials and resources to create their own stop motion animation storyboard complete with animations,graphics, music etc. You will share your video and talk about your success and challenges. 
  • Summer Music
      • Intermediate Band (open to current 6th or 7th graders during the 22-23 school year)
        • The Intermediate Band is open to any current 6th or 7th grader (during the 22-23 school year) who wants to further their study of music or explore a new instrument. Students will rehearse and perform as a concert band and will have an opportunity to choose an enrichment session from a menu of options such as jazz ensemble, music theory, musicianship training, etc.
      • Intermediate Orchestra (open to current 6th or 7th graders during the 22-23 school year)
        • The intermediate Orchestra is open to any current 6th or 7th grader (during the 22-23 school year) who wants to further their study of music  or explore a new instrument. Students will rehearse and perform as an orchestra and will have an opportunity to choose an enrichment session from a menu of options such as jazz ensemble, music theory, musicianship training, etc.
      • Advanced Band (open to current 7th or 8th graders during the 22-23 school year) Current 7th graders must receive a director's recommendation.
        • The Advanced Band is open to any current 7th or 8th grader (during the 22-23 school year) who is looking for opportunities to develop advanced skills. Students will rehearse and perform as a concert band and will have an opportunity to choose an enrichment session from a menu of options such as jazz ensemble, music theory, musicianship training, etc.
      • Advanced Orchestra (open to current 7th or 8th graders during the 22-23 school year) Current 7th graders must receive director recommendation.
