Thompson School District is committed to ensuring accessibility to digital content, including our website, for all community members, including individuals with disabilities, in accordance with federal and state law.

What are we doing?

To help us make the Thompson School District (TSD) website accessible, we are using the Website Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Version 2.1. The WCAG guidelines define three levels of accessibility. From lesser accessibility to greater accessibility, these levels are A, AA, and AAA. Our goal is to ensure that digital content on the TSD website meets or exceeds the AA requirements.

We are also implementing accessibility by:

  • Conducting regular website accessibility audits and remediating inaccessible content
  • Providing staff training and inclusive design resources on digital accessibility practices
  • Requiring accessibility reviews as part of our technology procurement processes
  • Publishing an annual accessibility progress update that outlines our priorities and timelines for improvement
  • Providing equally effective access through accommodations, alternate formats, or prioritized remediation
