To expedite the Board’s proceedings and provide a framework for the orderly conduct of business, the agenda for each meeting of the Board shall be developed by the superintendent and Board president. It shall be published and provided, along with other meeting materials, to each Board member and each staff member who is required to be present at the meeting no later than 24 hours before the meeting.

At regular meetings the Board shall follow the order of business set by the agenda unless the order is altered or new items added by majority vote of the Board during the meeting. At special meetings, no business other than that stated in the notice of the meeting shall be transacted unless all members are present and agree to consider and transact other business.

Consent Grouping

A consent grouping on the agenda shall be used for those items which usually do not require discussion or explanation as to the reason for Board action, or have been thoroughly discussed by the Board at a previous meeting.

The order of business at regular meetings will generally be as follows:

  3. Public Participation Awards/Recognition

      2. Subgroups
    2. Title/subject
  5. Reports
    1. Superintendent Report
    2. Board Reports
  6. Discussion Items
  7. Written Reports
  8. Requests for Information
  9. Adjournment
