DEB/DEC, Funds From State/Federal Tax Sources
The Board of Education shall seek to supplement its regular budget with special state and federal funds whenever it determines that such funds will further district goals and programs.
The Board regards such supplementary aid as a public trust and will account for it separately and spend it prudently, as it does other school funds.
The agents of the Board, administrative staff and other district employees shall not make any formal application for state or federal funds without the express authority of the Board.
However, the superintendent and designees may investigate funding and eligibility requirements without prior Board authorization.
