EI, Insurance Program/Risk Management
The Board has the responsibility for maintaining an insurance program that meets state requirements. This shall include:

Adequate coverage of all district property.

Adequate general liability coverage to meet state governmental immunity standards.

Workers' Compensation.

Bonding of district treasurer and appropriate district personnel.

Adequate errors or omissions coverage to protect individual board members and district personnel.
The Board may also authorize and participate in insurance programs for employees and students. Coverages may be provided by commercial underwriters or through self-insurance, including self-insurance pools.
The Administration shall make every effort to obtain insurance at the best available rates, consistent with required coverage and service, through obtaining quotations or bids.
