JJ-R, Guidelines for Conducting Student Activities (Cocurricular and Extracurricular)
- Activity offerings shall be of sufficient variety and number to meet the wide range of interests of students.
- Most activities shall be an outgrowth of curriculum activities.
- Unless an extension of a regular class, participation shall be voluntary.
- Guidance shall be offered to encourage non-participants who might benefit from the activity
- The goal for each student shall be a balanced program of academic studies and extracurricular activities.
- All activities shall be supervised. All clubs and groups shall have a faculty advisor.
- Extracurricular activities shall be carefully controlled for the best interest of the students and the district and shall be approved by the Building Administration and the Director of Athletics/Activities.
