A student teacher supervisor must have a minimum of three years' successful teaching experience, administrative recommendation, approval of the superintendent, and successful completion of a graduate course in supervision of student teachers. Any of these qualifications may be waived by the executive director of elementary education or the executive director of secondary education.

Remuneration for supervision of a student teacher shall go directly to the supervising teacher.

The supervising teacher shall help the student teacher become successful by providing a maximum amount of varied educational experiences. However, the supervising teacher shall not be called upon to a point, which will detract from the quality of the learning process in the classroom.

The principal shall exercise line authority for all classroom activities in the school. University personnel shall work at the school within the framework established by the principal.
