 We hope you'll join us to learn more about housing insecurity and homelessness. There are many ways to give and find support in our community. Below, you'll find information and opportunities to get involved. 

Volunteer Anyone can get involved to help address youth homelessness in our community. Click this box for individual, group, and family volunteer opportunities 814 Students were identified as housing insecure last school year. Each year, the number of housing insecure students has been rising Boulder is the nearest youth shelter. Larimer county has no shelters for youth. Some TSD students have traveled 30 miles for a safe place to sleep
November is National Homeless Youth Awareness Month Use Your Voice Shine a light on youth homelessness by posting, writing a letter to the editor of your favorite newspaper, or contacting your representatives. Click for tips. 77 Students were unaccompanied last year. These students aren't living with a parent or legal guardian. They may live with a friend or partner's family, another relative, or on their own.
Get Support Support is available through schools, the district, and in the community. Click this box to get connected. Lack of Affordable Housing is the #1 cause of housing instability in our district. Many families aren't able to afford to rent or buy a home. They often live with other families or relatives to share the cost. COVID-19 has made things worse Due to the pandemic, more families have faced eviction, housing instability, and food insecurity. It also caused a rise in domestic conflict.
