Substitute applications for the 2024-25 school year open on Monday, July 15, 2023.

Application Process
Licensed Substitute
A licensed substitute replaces a licensed employee (teacher) in the event of their absence.

Acquire or hold a valid Colorado Department of Education license (valid 1-, 3-, or 5-year CDE Substitute Authorization or CDE Teacher's License)

Submit Licensed Sub Application.

Complete interview process.

Complete necessary paperwork, including a background check upon hire, and obtain three letters of recommendation for substitute teaching.
Classified Substitute
A classified substitute replaces a non-licensed school staff member (support staff) in the event of their absence. A classified substitute cannot substitute for teachers.
- Submit Classified Sub Application.
- Complete interview process.
- Complete necessary paperwork, including a background check and fingerprints upon hiring.
