About Federal Programs
Federal Programs Department
Federal Programs supports district improvement efforts funded under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as well as a variety of other federal relief and state competitive grants, to close educational achievement gaps and to ensure all TSD students have the opportunity to receive a high-quality education.
In December of 2015, President Obama signed into law the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). The title of the reauthorized legislation, which replaced the No Child Left Behind Act, is the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
