Psychological Response Team
The Thompson School District Psychological Response Team (PRT) is a well-trained multidisciplinary group of school mental health professionals dedicated to providing emotional support, guidance, and resources in coordinated, rapid, short-term responses to crises and high impact situations within a school community.. With care and empathy, the team seeks to foster resiliency, support the well-being of students, staff, families, and the community, as well as support efforts for them to regain stability. The PRT provides collaborative and timely communication, on-site delivery of support systems, and ongoing assessment of the unique needs of the site(s) and event. Using a continuous improvement model emphasizing honest reflection through debriefing sessions, the team is committed to serving its community with effective, quality crisis response.
