Transportation Guidelines

Students should arrive at their assigned bus stop at least five minutes before the scheduled arrival time to ensure timely boarding. Please note that students may be asked to wait after the scheduled departure time, as delays can occur due to weather conditions or other uncontrollable factors.

In accordance with board policy, transportation routes will be arterialized, meaning buses will not travel into every subdivision or down every street. Instead, stop locations will generally be located on main roads to help reduce both route miles and travel times across the district.

Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that students can safely access and depart their assigned bus stop locations.

Students are not allowed to bring skateboards, scooters, or other large or bulky items on the bus. This includes oversized athletic gear, equipment, balls and large musical instruments.

Important Note for Choice/Open Enrollment Students: Please be aware that choice- or open-enrolled students are not eligible for district-provided transportation services.

If you have any questions about your student’s transportation, please contact Transportation Dispatch at 970-613-5185 or transportationrouting@tsd.org for further information.
