Choice Windows

Resident families wishing to enroll in a Thompson School District school outside of their boundary area should apply during the first round of Choice Enrollment for priority consideration. The second round includes schools with remaining space available after the first round has closed.

Current School Year
2024-25

  • Round One is closed for the current school year.
  • Round Two is closed for the current school year and all waitlists are expired.

Next School Year
2025-26

  • Round One opens for next school year on November 1, 2024 and closes on December 20, 2024.
  • Round Two opens for next school year on January 21, 2025.

Applicant Selection and Notification

All applications are accepted via the district’s online Choice/Open Enrollment application. 

First Round

All applications received by December 20 are included in a lottery for available spaces. Process is not first-come, first-served.

Families will be notified via email of their application status starting in January 2025. If offered a seat, families have five business days to accept. 

Second Round

Applications in the second round are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
