Welcome from Monica Ramos Carlson

Dear Bill Reed Middle School Families,

My name is Mónica Ramos Carlson, and I am so honored to be joining the Bill Reed Middle School community as your new principal. I could not be more excited to get to know the students and families of Bill Reed and want to take a moment to introduce myself.

Most recently, I have been serving students and staff in Poudre School District at Boltz Middle School and previously at Irish Escuela Bilingüe. I bring experience in school counseling as well as district and school leadership across middle school, elementary, and high school settings in Colorado and Utah.

I have spent my career working in schools because I genuinely believe that every young person, no matter their background, language, or learning needs, deserves a place where they feel safe, known, and challenged to grow. That belief is at the heart of everything I do. I am excited to get to work alongside our incredible staff, and am thrilled to serve in a school that honors both the arts and biliteracy. I can’t wait to celebrate the incredible talents of our school community!

As your principal, I am committed to being a visible, approachable, and collaborative partner. You can expect me to be present in classrooms and hallways, at school events, and available when you need to connect. I honor the assets your children bring to our school each day, and I believe deeply in the power of inclusion, belonging, and dignity.
