Volunteer for Read Aloud Day on November 11
The ancient art of storytelling is celebrated annually on Read Aloud Day.
Community members will have an opportunity to visit local schools and read to children on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Readers spend about 30 minutes sharing stories with children.
The school provides books; however, volunteers are also welcome to bring a favorite childhood tale to share with the students. In that case, please notify the volunteer office of your book title and author as soon as possible so that the book can be pre-approved for the Read Aloud Day. Schools must screen all guests in accordance with Board policy. If you are not currently a registered volunteer in the district, please remember to bring your driver’s license or photo ID to the event.
