Berthoud Elementary School
Our Mission
The Berthoud Elementary School community will foster academic excellence in an environment that ensures that each student is supported in reaching their full potential.
SOAR
We teach, model, practice and reinforce the following behaviors: Safe, On task and responsible, Achieve your best, and Respect.
Berthoud Elementary is the largest elementary school in Thompson School District. Our highly dedicated staff collaborates regularly to empower a climate of high expectations. We strive to provide a safe, caring, challenging and fun learning environment. We offer flexible skills grouping to meet the needs of all students, and we are committed to a student-centered approach to meeting diverse needs. Our In Focus curriculum addresses the social and emotional needs of our students, and we provide behavioral and academic interventions that are personalized. As a designated Ubiquitous Technology Access (UTA) school by Thompson School District, we are able to provide a Chromebook or iPad for each of our students.
Accomplishments
A large number of our teachers have been recognized for their outstanding service through the Thompson School District Award of Excellence, the Teacher of the Year Award, the Crystal Apple Award and the Loveland Rotary Teacher of the Month Award.
Parent and Community Partnerships
As a result of the generous support of our families, our learning environment is enriched through movie nights, memory books, the annual Holiday Shop, classroom volunteers, crosswalk volunteers, the Jogathon, Field Day, the Fall Carnival and so much more. We appreciate our families! Parents provide important leadership in our school community as well through their involvement with our School Accountability Committee, our Parent Teacher Organization and the District Accountability Committee.
